About Wool

Wool is a wonderful natural choice as part of your diapering system. It is waterproof, absorbing 30% of it's weight in liquid before feeling damp to the touch, tough yet soft, stretchy and elastic, anti-microbial and anti-bacterial! 

We offer several different types of wool if you have any questions which one would work best for you situation please feel free to email me and I can assist you in that decision

100% Chemical free Merino/Rambouliet blend- A very soft squishy fiber that produces a thick fabric suitable for overnight use. This farm practices organic farming but has not paid for the outside certification allowing them to legal label their yarn organic. Processing on this yarn is minimal and it still  has much of its lanolin left when it arrives.

100% Chemical Free Montana Wool- Another very soft squishy fiber that produces a thick fabric excellent for overnights. This picturesque farm humanely raises their sheep at the base of the Montana Rocky mountains.

100% Chemical free 2ply Merino- From the same farm as our Montana wool, it produces a lighter weight fabric. It is very soft and like most merino wool, it will pill but a quick pass of the sweater shaver can remove those.

Organic Merino- Heavenly soft and imported from New Zealand, this merino produces a lighter weight fabric. Like our other merinos it does pill but the softness of the yarn makes you quickly forget about that.

Chancellor's Merino- This gorgeous, baby soft merino is hand spun by a cooperative of women in Uruguay. It is a single ply yarn that develops a halo like fuzz and pilling with wear. Takes the dye beautifully and we will be offering it in our own custom colorways as well as a few of the colorways dyed by the cooperative.
